We think it's OK to admit that no-one looks good in a hairnet! Those unprepared for such a sight might easily find themselves haunted by buried memories of disagreeable dinner ladies or grumpy grannies.

It's therefore only right and proper that we take a little time to reassure you that underneath the man-made mesh lurk two very normal, some might say likeable founders.

A Bit About Our Founders

Matt & Elinor first met over a few bottles of wine (a few thousand to be more accurate) during their former lives at a well-known wine merchant.

Although both had been merrily carving out their separate careers, it soon became very clear that our two future founders had a lot in common - they were in effect both well-informed winos with a taste for the finer things in life.

Although the next few chapters are now little more than a happy blur, it would appear that Elinor whisked Matt away to travel around the world for some therapeutic winding down, whilst they wondered what to do next.

The answer as we all now know was chocolate! Chocolate like wine is something that can be instantly appreciated, yet only fully understood over the fullness of time.

As with wine the only true way to cherish chocolate is to immerse yourself in such phrases as single estate, single vintage, single varietals, bouquets and blends.

Instantly our sweet-toothed travellers knew they had a new adventure to get their teeth into and the rest, as they say, is history.
